Bob Kamrath 

Induction Year: 1982

 

Robert K. “Bob” Kamrath (1917-2002) was a native of Austin. He was nationally ranked in boys’, men’s and seniors divisions.  When at the University of Texas in the late 1930s, he won three Southwest Conference championships, one singles title and two doubles titles. After college he represented the U.S. in several international tournaments.

 

Kamrath was president of the Houston Tennis Patrons, vice president of the Texas Tennis Association and a member for 17 years of the International Lawn Tennis Club of the United States.
