Karl Kamrath Jr. 

Induction Year: 1997

 

Karl Kamrath Jr. (born 1935) grew up in a well known tennis family. In 1948 at age 13, Kamrath won his first tournament. By 1950 he was ranked No. 1 in the Texas boys’ division. Kamrath played college tennis at the University of Texas. He was a member of the 1955 team which won the Southwest Conference Championship and finished second in the NCAA Championships. Kamrath has won up to 50 championships across the country in both singles and doubles.
