Dick Landenberger

Dick Landenberger was born in Olney, Illinois. He learned to play tennis at the age of 14, playing with friends at the park courts. While attending East Richland High School, he reached the state finals in doubles with his lifelong friend and doubles partner, Dick King. He graduated from the University of Illinois with an MBA.

 

Landenberger started teaching tennis after he moved to Texas in 1968. He has been ranked top 10 in the nation 19 times and has represented the U.S. in the World Championships in England, South Africa and Turkey.
