Ken Sumrow

Induction Year: 2025

 

Ken Sumrow and his family devoted more than 30 years to combining their love of tennis with community service, raising over $3.5 million for the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Health, where his son Clint was successfully treated for cancer at the age of five. The Children Helping Children tournament endures as a legacy of hope for countless families.

Sumrow also gave generously of his time to Texas tennis, coaching high school players and teaching throughout Plano’s parks and recreation facilities. Best known for his long association with High Point Park Tennis Center, his leadership extended statewide and nationally through service with USPTA, where he earned numerous honors for his professional contributions and for his facility.
