The Collection

The Museum's permanent collection of approximately 7,000 artifacts, documents and photographs express the history of tennis, focusing primarily on the sport within the state of Texas. Artifacts within the collection include racquets, clothing, balls and ball machines. We also showcase memorabilia including trophies, medals and assorted materials used by 140 inductees in the Hall of Fame and everyday tennis players. These artifacts document the role tennis has played in Texas history, the development of the Texas tennis community and illustrate the social and technological changes over the 19th and 20th centuries.
