ESSAY PROMPT
Tennis has enjoyed a giant uptick in participation, growing 33% since the beginning of 2020—that’s an additional 5.9 million players! The sport has such a rich history, including so many outstanding individuals who have been inducted into the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame (click here to explore these individuals). For this year’s essay contest, we are again inviting you to select one of the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame members and write about how they inspire you to play tennis. Perhaps it is someone familiar to you—whether by family relation, shared home town, college affiliation—or someone you are just learning about! In what way to you feel connected to the Hall of Fame member and their story? Please be as specific as possible.
