Scholarships
The Texas Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame Educational Scholarships have been established to recognize and provide educational assistance to high school seniors. Students from Texas are invited to submit a 500-word essay. The work will be judged on the basis of originality, quality of detail, and writing. ​

In 2024, the TTMHOF proudly awarded five scholarships. The 2025 scholarship contest will be held next spring. Visit our website and follow us on social media to stay updated!

RECOGNITION AND SCHOLARSHIP REMITTANCE
Winning scholarship recipients will be recognized and receive funds towards college tuition and expenses. Scholarships will be awarded for the following amounts:

1st place $900

2nd place $600
-
3rd place $300
-
Honorable Mention $200

DEADLINE
The 2024 deadline for entry has passed. The 2025 scholarship contest will take place next spring.

ESSAY PROMPT
Upload a 500-word essay describing which Texas Tennis Hall of Fame player you most aspire to be like. In what ways do you feel connected to the Hall of Fame member and their story? Explain how and why and include personal comparisons. Please be as specific as possible. Hint: If you can take your statement and copy and paste it into someone else’s essay, then it’s not specific enough.

SELECTION PROCESS
A scholarship selection committee will choose four (4) scholarship winners.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

All entries must be received by the contest deadline to be considered.

All applicants must have been/be high school seniors during the 2023-2024 school year residing in the State of Texas.

Entries must follow the contest guidelines in terms of length and adherence to theme/topic.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant.

Essays become the property of TTMHOF and may be used in print, digital and web-based promotional materials.

The judging and selection process is at the sole discretion of TTMHOF and the selection committee chosen for such purpose.
